The RoRI Team is expanding

As RoRI is growing, we are welcoming new colleagues to our operational, research and leadership teams.

Dr Amanda Kvarven joined RoRI in May as a Research Fellow in Metascience, from her previous base at Stanford’s METRICS centre. Amanda will be based in UCL-STEaPP, and will initially focus her time on the AGORRA and AFIRE projects. Her expertise includes a range of topics within experimental economics, meta-analysis and meta-research.

Dr Jude Fransman also joined us in May as Head of Collaboration and Learning. She will work from RoRI’s base at UCL but will be focused externally on partners, projects and processes of collaboration & learning across our work. With 20 years of experience of transdisciplinary research partnerships, Jude brings valuable skills and perspectives to RoR.

Finally, Dr Peter Kolarz will join us in September 2024 as Head of Programmes from his current role as a principal consultant at Technopolis, where he has worked on numerous studies and evaluations of research funding and impact in many countries. He was project director and lead author of an influential Review of Peer Review, commissioned by UKRI in 2023. Peter will strengthen our overall project management and delivery, and play a key role in a handful of our larger, longer-term projects such as AGORRA

We are excited about the future as we expand the team with our new colleagues, whose expertise will significantly enhance our research, collaboration, and project management.
