Visiting Fellow, RoRI and Senior Policy Adviser, Research England

Claire is a Senior Policy Adviser at Research England, a council within UK Research and Innovation. Claire’s work focuses on research culture and assessment policy both in the UK and internationally. With a passion for responsible research assessment (RRA), Claire took the lead on this subject at the Global Research Council, and is now collaborating with global funders to develop guidance and support for the implementation of RRA principles.

Bringing valuable skills and experience in research assessment at a systemic level, Claire now contributes as a research fellow to the AGORRA project. In her previous roles, she had the privilege of working on open research policy, research culture strategy, and supporting the mental health and well-being of postgraduate researchers. Having recently returned from maternity leave, Claire is eager to resume her contributions to the field.
