Job opportunity: FAIRware Project Consultant

About FAIRware and the role

FAIRware is a software tool intended to help researchers easily assess and improve the FAIR-ness of their work, based on the FAIR guiding principles which assert that research data should be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR). FAIRware is currently under development, managed and co-funded by several Research on Research Institute (RoRI) partners.

The Wellcome Trust, one of the funders of the FAIRware project, seeks a project consultant to manage and guide the project. The role holder will use their technical expertise and experience to shape the future direction of the project, developing and leading on new areas of work for FAIRware and the project. We’d like to broaden the future use of FAIRware beyond the biomedical sciences and the consultant will lead work to make this happen.

The role will also be responsible for chairing steering group meetings and managing milestone payments, legal agreements and relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a senior consultant with significant experience in the FAIR domain – including technical knowledge of FAIR data and FAIR software. You must have an in-depth understanding of and experience working with stakeholders in these areas.

We’re also open to applications from organisations, companies or agencies who would be able to provide the right support. For example, offering senior consultancy and project management support through multiple roles. Please contact the email address below to discuss this possibility further.
